Services Required
ALE transported four beams, weighing 50t, 80t, 120t and 180t respectively and measuring approximately 30m long.

ALE transported the beams 1km within the plant, from the fabrication position into the final position as requested by the client.

ALE utilised an auxiliary crane to load the tower onto the 20 axle lines of SPT (self propelled trailer). Once the beam was on the chassis of the SPT, ALE transported a different beam every day, according to the client’s planning and schedule.

During the project ALE faced many challenges, such as the weather conditions, which meant that some beams were moved at night. ALE were also given short notice for mobilisation, installation and testing. Despite these challenges, ALE were able to overcome these safely with qualified personnel.

The moves took place daily over two months.
